My first post
After multiple friends over the years have enouraged me to create a blog, I have finally caved in. I was concerned because I have alway had an aversion to blogs, and would hate to be yet another person standing on a soapbox. However, due to the amount of requests I have recieved, I realize that I have had some experiences that are interesting to others and therefore want to share them in the hope that readers will spend just one minute a day thinking abit more about the grave human rights abuses that communities around the world are suffering from at the hands of fellow human beings.
The media has made our generation so jadded that most of us no longer feel horror and grief when we hear about massacres, starvation, torture. All I can do is try to put a face on these events and hope that in doing so somehow I am helping the victims as well as future generations.
